Ours is a large parish with two churches, incorporating two primary schools and a high school, as well as a large hospital which serves the town and surrounding district. It is an active parish with a long tradition. The churches and schools are close to the centre of a continually developing town and the parish is growing day by day as houses are being built and new families are welcomed to our community.
We work closely with our neighbouring parish of St Joseph's in Penketh, with the priests and deacons working well together.
There are several nursing homes in the area, along with St Rocco's Hospice, which are served within the parish, and we like to think that both the staff and residents are made to feel part of our community.
The nursing and care homes, together with the hospital are partly staffed with men and women from the ethnic communities and they too are involved in parish life.
I do hope you enjoy browsing our parish website and that you may be able to find something useful for your needs.
